When you hear the word ‘habit’, do you automatically think good or bad?? 😳

There are some good ones like turning off running water when you’re not using it or practicing gratitude every morning. However, just like you formed these over time, you probably have some bad habits as well…

If you can identify them, you’re already on the right track to breaking them! Deep dive with us into breaking this chain⛓

1️⃣Determine Triggers + Reason For Change
Every habit begins with a trigger, whether that be a certain time of day or a feeling. By tracking your habit, you can determine what may trigger this behavior which will make it easier to find an alternative

Now you can reflect on your reasons for diminishing this behavior. List out reasons that this change will be beneficial to you, stick this list somewhere you look frequently for motivation!

2️⃣Find Accountability + Switch Your Mindset
Journaling progress, leaving yourself accountable notes, and finding a trusting friend are great ways to keep yourself liable for this goal. This friend can celebrate with you as well as give you reminders to stay on track! It’s extremely easy to slip up, so let go of the perfectionist mindset and start small in your new journey.

3️⃣Reward Yourself and Give it Time
Celebrate your wins by treating yourself to something that you enjoy and that will give you the motivation to keep going. Everyone will move at a different pace and this is okay, allow yourself sufficient time to see results and ultimately squash your habits!

No one is perfect, but everyone can try to better themselves by leaving negative behaviors behind! Break your dating bad habits and join Blink to replace your habit with a new option, find us in our bio💕
