Photo dump from days 4-5 of my time in Palestine with the @ipmn_pcusa Solidarity with the Suffering Delegation. The schedule is super packed but we had a little bit of a break on Sunday.

📸 1 house that was just demolished three days ago and yet the owner welcomed us in to tell the story.

📸 2 can you imagine, in the middle of the night your home is demolished. The owner is a community leader so was clearly targeted.

📸 3 another shot of the demolished house. You can just see the kitchen through the hole in the debris

📸 4 We had a quick time to wander around the old city. You can feel the desperation of the shopkeepers and there is a weightiness to the whole area.

📸 5 Catholic mass in Arabic at St. Catherine's. Worship was packed with lots of young people.

📸 6 Communion which we're unfortunately not allowed to receive, but it was wonderful seeing the large number of folks gathered in this place of worship.

📸 7 recently restored Byzantine mosaics at #churchofthenativity

📸 8 listening to the story of political prisoners, men, women and children. Their only crime was being Palestinian. And since October 7th many have not heard from their loved ones.

📸 9 the front of @alrowwadorg where arts, education and community is built in Aidi refugee camp

📸 10 ICYMI here is the Dabke dance rehearsal that we were allowed to watch. So much power.

Next few days we move on to another area and continue to meet with leaders and community members.
