## Caption

This week's Weekly Word comes as results of the 2022 mid-term elections are still being released, debated, and spun. Now, I am as game for political strategizing as anyone, but sometimes I need to simply be pissed off and disappointed with results that may not be surprising, but only remind me of so much work that needs to be done locally and nationally. 

STAGGERED

by the political hypocrisy of those who claim solidarity

If your spirit is enraged
by the mental gymnastics that buttress institutional oppression

If your body is staggered
by the suffering created and compounded by greed

If you are dejected
If you are discouraged
If you are furious
If you are immobilized

You are not alone.
You.

Alone.
