Mursal Nabizada, a former Afghan female parliamentarian, was shot dead by unknown assailants in her home along with a security guard. 

Mursal was an outspoken critic of the Taliban and one of the few female former lawmakers who remained in Afghanistan after the Taliban takeover in 2021.
