It’s #WHYKAPPAWEDNESDAY and this week we are highlighting a dynamic duo in PC ‘23, Sydney & Aubrie!👯‍♀️✨🔑

“I’m so lucky that Sydney is not only my roommate, but also my sister in Kappa. We did not plan on joining the same sorority, and honestly Sydney was the main person that convinced me to go through rush in the first place. I feel like the fact that both me and Sydney decided to go Kappa is a testament to not only how alike we are, but how Kappa is truly the perfect place for us. My favorite Kappa memory with her was the night we had at Semi-formal, but more broadly it’s every walk we have had to and from chapter and every meal we have shared at Kappa lunch. I’ve always wanted a sister, and now I can confidently say I do. Whether it’s to correct me when I’m wrong or to brighten my mood on my worst days, I can always turn to Sydney. Her corny jokes never fail to make me smile, and I can’t wait to see what sophomore year has in store for us.” - aubriehromadka 

“Nothing beat opening my card on Bid Day, running over to all the screaming Kappas and seeing a familiar face, my roommate Aubrie Hromadka. She was the first person I talked to about rooming together at Mizzou, and from there we were inseparable. Aubrie is one of the sweetest, most honest people I know. She always knows how to cheer people up, or If you need a real honest opinion, you can definitely ask her. One of my favorite Kappa memories with her was winning homecoming and being able to run up to her and cheer. If you see me out and about on campus, I’m 90% sure you will see me and Aubrie together. Aubrie was the girl I didn’t know I needed, but now can’t imagine my life without her. You always find a way to make me smile, and Kappa wouldn’t be the same without you. If you need a best friend and lifelong roommate, Kappa is the place to be.” - sydney.kthornton
