As the monsoon season approaches later this month, it’s crucial to remember that the heavy rainfall it will bring may necessitate swift water rescues, a skill our @LasVegasFD firefighters are well-prepared for. 🧑‍🚒
 
Our firefighters always keep up with their skills by doing different types of training. When they do swift water training, they run the following simulations:
 
-River strainer: How to rescue yourself if you end up in the water
-Shore-based rescue with throw bags & ropes
-Training for walking and moving as one unit in shallow water
-Diving and drowning emergencies
