7 years ago I stepped foot on the Cornell campus for the first time. For someone whose whole life has revolved around a dream of playing for Team Canada, I didn’t realize at the time what going to this school would mean to me; and that playing for and attending Cornell University would become the thing that I am most proud of. Thank you to my family, my coaches, Dane, Louise, Katy, my teammates, my professors, my advisors, the Lynah Faithful, my mentors, my friends, and so many more. I have been challenged in more ways than I thought possible over my time on the hill, and I graduate as a better person, a better leader, and a better athlete. Specifically to our team this year, thank you for a dream season that was unfortunately cut short; 25 women who genuinely enjoyed pushing themselves to their limit every single day, and celebrating every little success - from stepping on the ice for practice, to the good chicken at pre-game meal. You made coming to the rink the best part of my day. Congratulations to all my fellow 2020 graduates, it wasn’t anywhere near what we had planned, but that doesn’t take away from everything that went into the past 4 years ❤️👩🏻‍🎓🏒 #LifeIsAHighway #LGR #1
