Struggling to hit your protein goals OR just simply tired of eating meat and want a switch up to your diet?

Well here are five of my favorite VEGETARIAN sources for protein!

Greek Yogurt: 23 grams of protein per cup
Green Peas: 8 grams of protein per cup
Hemp Seeds: 4 grams of protein per tablespoon
Almonds: 3 grams of protein per 1/2 oz
Edamame: 5 grams of protein per 1/4 cup

How to eat:

Greek Yogurt
 - great replacement for sour cream and mayo
 - eat on its own or topped with fruit, granola, and hemp seeds

Green Peas:
 - easy side to any meal
 - pea humus (swap with chickpeas or add extra green peas to your favorite humus recipe)
 - guacamole: substitute some of the avocados in your guacamole recipe with mashed green peas
 - add to your pesto sauce

Hemp Seeds:
 - add 1-2 table spoons to your favorite smoothie
 - use as a yogurt, oatmeal, or smoothie bowl topping
 - sprinkle onto baked goods right before baking
 - pesto: swap out pine nuts for hemp seeds

Almonds:
 - eat on its own as a snack
 - add as a salad topping
 - add to baked goods for a crunchier texture and added nuttiness
 - add to granola

Edamame:
 - boil or steam and eat as a side, appetizer, or healthy snack
 - add to salads
 - make edamame dip: pureed edamame beans combined with garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, and herbs
