Can you spot the shorebirds in this field? Shorebirds migrate later than ducks, geese, and other wintering waterfowl. They need shallower water, too, which means sometimes they arrive in the Sacramento Valley to find little or no habitat. This spring, we added a few inches of water to one of our fields especially for them. It’s part of our promise to work in partnership with nature so we can keep growing together!
