## Caption

Our commitment to conservation runs deep. Each winter, we flood a portion of our fields with water. The fields provide habitat for thousands of birds as they travel the Pacific Flyway. The birds put rice straw in contact with the soil, which helps prep the fields for planting. Once they fly away, we return the water to rivers and streams, where nutrients from the fields support the salmon population.
