BREAKING NEWS: Texas Rangers C Mitch Garver to undergo season-ending forearm surgery. Garver, 31, was acquired over the off-season from the Twins in exchange for INF Isiah-Kiner Falefa and produced pretty solidly for the club. The forearm injury however has been a lingering one, but for the most part Garver was able to still play throughout, able to hit but not throw. He noted to the media that the surgery was inevitable, and will be sorely missed because of the 7-8 month estimated recovery time 

In 2022, Garver has slashed a .212/.292/.419 along with a .711 OPS, 103 OPS+, with 10 HR/ 22 RBI and 1 SB through 179 AB with the Rangers
