Giants backstop Curt Casali suffered an oblique strain during an AB in yesterday’s game against the Diamondbacks. Casali will undergo an MRI to determine the extent of the damage, although a trip to the injured list is a certainty. Casali, 33, has been a solid piece of the Giants core this season, offering good defense with around league average offense. So far this season, he’s hit for a .231 AVG, .696 OPS, 96 OPS+, with 4 HR/ 14 RBI and a 1.1 WAR through 108 AB
