"I had the opportunity to run the Chicago race in May and I loved it!

Reasons why:
1) Bathroom attendants = cleanest port o's ever.
2) planks down in the shower area so you aren't standing on rocks or in mud
3) Memorial wall (Believe for Navy SEALS, could be wrong. But it was powerful)
4) Coach Pain.  No joke, this guy knows how to fire you up before a race so you take off ready to rip someones face off and give it your all.  Also, I listened to several of them and no two were the same.
5) The obstacles are spread out evenly along the course. You will not go much further than a quarter mile before hitting an obstacle. I was talking to a staff member and he apologized because it was a longer than usual distance to the first obstacle.
6) The obstacles -- they have 2-3 difficulties for each one. You can do the Novice, Competitive, or Expert and decide at each one what you want to try. And if you fail one difficulty you can go down because the goal is to complete the obstacle.  Carries are different lengths depending on skill level.
7) Elite race is 2 laps. Race elite you have to do the hardest difficulty or have your elite band cut off
8) BFX-- kind of like a beast, but not.  You start and then keep racing until you cannot race any longer.  They have a turn off before the finish line where you can keep a bucket with food/water/clothes etc. The more laps you can accomplish the more things on your medal ribbon.
