How to style a cake for a photoshoot 📷 

Step 1:
Place a piece of fabric onto a clean surface- marble is always elegant 

Step 2:
Pick out a cake stand. My favorite is the 8 inch Peony stand from juliaknightcollection 😍 it’s so pretty and sturdy (very important to avoid accidents) Your stand should complement your cake, but not distract from it. 

Step 3:
Add fresh flowers are fruit to the scene. It’s best to make sure the theme and colors of any props match your cake.

Step 4:
Carefully position your chilled cake onto the stand. A cold cake will give you more time to capture your shot without worrying about it melting on a hot day.

Step 5:
Line up your camera and take your shot! Be sure you have lots of light when shooting and add a bounce card if there are too many shadows 💗
