Join us in welcoming fellowship-trained shoulder and elbow surgeon, Dr. Melissa A. Wright. Dr. Wright sees patients in Westminster and at MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center and MedStar Union Memorial Hospital.
 
Dr. Wright received her medical degree from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri and completed her orthopaedic surgery residency at Barnes Jewish Hospital-Washington University in St. Louis. She completed a fellowship specializing in shoulder and elbow surgery at MedStar Union Memorial Hospital, gaining experience in the latest surgical techniques.
 
Dr. Wright’s approach to care is strongly tied to the mind-body connection. She takes patients’ preferences and needs into account to develop a personalized treatment plan, and she believes that their unique circumstances can affect their perception of pain and surgical outcomes.
