Behind the scene with panavisionofficial 

Camera operator Josh Quiros walks us #behindthescenes a sequence from the opening scene of #SnackShack, serviced by #PanavisionHollywood and #LightIron Los Angeles, with #colorgrading by supervising #colorist Ian Vertovec.

“The DOP [Jean-Philippe Bernier] & Director [Adam Carter Rehmeier] both had specific, uptempo types of shots in mind to introduce these characters. JP’s handheld is dramatic and still plays with the physical comedy between AJ & Moose.

It’s one of my favorite sequences we shot in the movie because of the pace it establishes being driven by both AJ & Moose who volley for control but fully know neither has any. It’s something we did a lot of throughout.

Coming out of the car at the zoo parking lot, we shot gimbal and readyrig so I could run forward with the actors and still face the camera 90 degrees off my body. 

The gimbal shot of the boys entering the bus and celebrating their win was also fun and particularly tricky because, at the end of it, to get wide and low enough for the 2 shot we actually opened the back door of the bus and built a deck for me to walk backwards out onto.

So much love for this project, cast & crew but I gotta shout the camera team specifically 🙌.”
