Another Hall of Fame 2024 Inductee Spotlight for Cedric Bess ’99. cedricbess 

He currently serves as the assistant manager, brand experience for Mercedes-Benz USA’s flagship dealership in Manhattan, after spending 12 seasons working as the guest relations supervisor for the 27-time World Series Champion New York Yankees. 

As a strategic public relations and brand marketing professional, he has collaborated with many Fortune 500 companies such as Nike, Adidas, Disney, Burger King, Pepsi, and more as well as playing an integral role in major sports and entertainment events including the World Series (MLB), Super Bowl (NFL), Latin GRAMMY Awards, Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, and the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. During his time at FIU, Cedric was an active member of the William C. Adams Chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA), where he was elected to represent FIU on the PRSSA National Committee as vice president of public relations and ultimately, national president–the first African American student to lead the organization. Cedric proudly represents the Big Apple Panthers as a Founding Member and president of the FIU Alumni Association of Greater New York since 2010.
