## Caption

Needles are used by the Rafai Sufis to pierce their cheeks in a display of devotion in front of the mosque.  The leader claims that the lack of blood is a miracle, and sometimes when the young men do bleed it is because they didn’t perform their ablutions correctly or smoked.
