The author of #OnTheRoad loved a margarita and based on this classic example courtesy of vicolonewcastle I can see why. I chose Kerouac, not just because he liked a drink (his death at 47 is a cautionary tale for us all) but because as in my debut novel #EzraMaas he blurred the lines between his own life and his fiction, allowing one to bleed into the other. There are risks to doing this an author? Where does your life end and the world of your books begin? Terms like auto-fiction and life-writing are very popular at the moment, but don't all stories come from the world? What are our lives if not the stories we tell ourselves?
