We’re excited to announce our U18 Women’s National Team roster for the upcoming AmeriCup in Bucaramanga, Colombia starting Monday.

Canada was drawn into Group A and will compete against Argentina (June 17, 6:40 p.m. ET), Colombia (June 18, 9:10 p.m. ET), and the Dominican Republic (June 19, 6:40 p.m. ET) in Group Phase action. All the action will be streamed live on FIBA's YouTube channel.

Marlo Davis will make his Canadian national team head coaching debut at the FIBA U18 Women’s AmeriCup 2024. He will be joined on the bench by assistant coaches Tamara Tatham, Christa Eniojukan, and Michelle Abella.

Canada has won silver in six of its last nine appearances at the FIBA U18 Women’s AmeriCup, placing third in 2004 and 2010. In its most recent appearance in 2022, the U18 Women’s Team secured two strong wins in the quarterfinals and semifinals before falling in a close matchup against Team USA in the final.

The top four teams in the event will automatically qualify for next summer’s FIBA U19 Women’s Basketball World Cup 2025.

Canada is currently ranked 3rd overall in the FIBA World Ranking presented by Nike, following the conclusion of the FIBA 2023 Youth Events.
