It is tempting to throw food your dog’s way under the Christmas table. No matter how inviting it might be, remember that majority of the food prepared for the holidays are probably bad for your four-legged buddy! 🐕

1. Raw Dough 🍪
This is definitely a no-no for fido. When yeast makes it into a dog’s stomach, it will expand due to the warm and damp environment, therefore causing bloating, diarrhea and twisting of the stomach that could lead to a very painful demise. Huge no-no for your little pawtato! 
It also causes fermentation that results in alcohol production, which is toxic when absorbed by the GI tract. We all no doggos cannot have alcohol!

2. Alcohol 🍺🍸🥂
Mop up spilled booze on the floor immediately before doggo finds it. Alcohol is deadly to dogkind and when ingested causes confusion, lack of coordination and even seizures! Yikes!

3. Fruit cake 🥮
This super delicious dessert is loaded with alcohol, nuts and dried fruit that are super bad to dogs. Raisin, currant and walnut —all harmful to dogs—abound fruit cakes.

4. Mince Pies 🥧
This holiday staple made it to this list for the same reason the holiday turkey did. It is loaded with onions and other spices that is terrible for dogs when ingested.

5. Fatty Meats 🍖🥓🌭
Turkey skin, chicken skin, sausages and pure meat fat might seem like a good meal for fido but could actually cause inflammation in the pancreas due to high fat content. Hey, they aren’t good for you either! 
There’s nothing wrong with treating your pupper during the holidays but make sure to do it right! ❤️❤️❤️
