Engaging local women - rewild partner, haiti_national_trust is working to restore Grand Bois National Park by employing community members in their efforts to cultivate native plants. In a country where less than 1% of its original forests remain, Haiti National Trust is at the forefront of Haiti’s conservation efforts, and proudly celebrates the significant milestone of hiring a workforce comprised of 40% women.

Haitian women are often the primary household caregivers, and by providing gainful employment opportunities Haiti National Trust is providing critical livelihoods while also restoring the wild. 

Haiti National Trust is committed to a balanced team, where everyone is equally represented, helping to foster an inclusive environment where everyone, regardless of gender, can thrive and make a lasting impact on their communities and Haiti's biodiversity.
