Meet Heela Yoon from #Afghanistan. She is one of our 17 #SDGYoungLeaders who have been recognized for their contributions to the achievement of the #GlobalGoals.

Heela is the founder of the Afghan Youth Ambassadors for Peace Organization (AYAPO), a grassroots-level NGO that fosters peacebuilding dialogues in the Eastern provinces of Afghanistan. Through AYAPO, she has trained nearly 100 young girls in the region on gender equality, leadership, and how to act as first responders in humanitarian crises.

Every two years, the unyouthenvoy brings together a new group of Young Leaders for the Global Goals. These inspiring people come from many different backgrounds and regions and are helping tackle the world's most pressing challenges to achieve a more sustainable and peaceful future for all.
