Dorotea, a refugee from #Burundi, works all day in the field to provide for her seven children in #Mozambique.

When Cyclone Gombe hit her camp earlier this year, Dorotea's house and all of her belongings were destroyed.

“It was nighttime and we were sleeping. The mud from the walls started to fall down because of the rains. I took all of my children outside of the house and within minutes the roof collapsed," said Dorotea. "Suddenly, we did not have a home anymore."

UNHCR, the #UnitedNations Refugee Agency, is helping refugees like Dorotea build shelters that are more resilient to future extreme weather events, which are becoming more frequent due to the impacts of the climate crisis.
