We’re looking back at the incredible career of Nora Lynn Finch today!

Finch was a four-sport letter winner from 1967-1970 as she competed on the women’s basketball, volleyball, tennis, and field hockey teams! Following her playing career, she went on to have a successful career as a coach at Wake Forest, Peace College, and NC State

She was honored by the NCAA for her outstanding efforts in the development of the women’s basketball tournament, including negotiating the first TV contract of that tournament with CBS.

Finch is a member of the Western Carolina Hall of Fame both as an individual and as a member of the 1967 women’s basketball team, the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame, the Peace College Hall of Fame, and the National Women’s Athletic Hall of Fame.
