Today, let's take a look back at Betty Westmoreland Suhre's legacy at Western Carolina!

Suhre served as head coach women’s basketball coach for the Catamounts for 14 years. Thanks to her guidance WCU hosted the prestigious 1971 NIWIBT National Tournament. 

She went on to serve as president of the NCAIAW for five years and was elected to the Western Carolina Athletics Hall of Fame in 1990.
