If you’re like me, your feed may be pretty much ALL adorbs mom and baby moments 🥹 Ever since Monaco, I can’t get enough of watching the joy and connection between mothers and their children.

But as we celebrate these beautiful snapshots of life, it’s important to remember that not every mom gets to experience this joy. The reality is heartbreaking:

🖤 The U.S. maternal mortality rate is the highest among high-income countries, with rates 10 times higher than some other nations.

🖤 Black women in the U.S. are 3-4 times more likely to die from pregnancy-related causes compared to white women.

🖤 Nearly 50% of new mothers describe their childbirth experience as “traumatic,” indicating widespread issues with maternal care.

🖤 80% of maternal deaths are preventable, highlighting a significant opportunity for improvement in maternal health practices and policies.

🖤 Maternal deaths in the U.S. have increased by over 50% in the last 15 years, signaling a growing crisis that demands urgent action.

These are not just statistics; they represent real moms and families missing out on the joys of motherhood.
