From 2007-09, 6’4 power forward Darryl Proctor established himself as one of the most unique and talented players in UMBC history. In his two seasons with the Retrievers, Proctor (who transferred from Coppin State) averaged 17.5 points and 8.6 rebounds including 20.0 points as a senior. He was a two-time All-American East First Team honoree and helped guide UMBC to the 2008 America East title and their first ever appearance in the NCAA Tournament. He holds the school record for most field-goals made in a season (254), while also ranking 2nd in highest career scoring average, 12th in rebounds (558), and 17th in points (1,138). #UMBC #UMBCBasketball
