As a physician, especially an intern, I can’t emphasize the importance of the nursing staff enough. Nurses are an invaluable resource as they spend much more time with patients throughout the day. I try to foster collaborative relationships, marked by mutual trust, power, respect, and cooperation. Constant attention by a good nurse may be just as important as a major operation by a surgeon! 🌻
