A few days ago I texted Matt the first picture and sadly said “this used to be me”… his only response was “it still is!”… ALL OF THESE ARE. I’ve gotten so lost in my own head watching myself shrink, physically watching my hard work fall off me, knowing 1 single second took away my passion and replaying it over and over… replaying “you could never compete again” over and over in my head. For 3 months now I’ve stewed, twisted my nutrition around trying to figure out how to “stay me”. I’ve said I’ve “done what I can” when deep down I knew I could be doing more. I wanted a quick fix of getting a nutrition coach for myself (I AM a nutrition coach 🙄) to try to avoid the conversation I needed to have with myself… I needed to stop sulking, stop the excuses, and do what I needed to do. I didn’t need someone to tell me to eat less, I needed to tell myself to freakin do more. Move more. The answer we want is never the easiest option… so today im officially back with dekacompetitionclub … modifying everything, but gladly being drug along until I’m back 100%. I can do more 3 months post op than I ever dreamed I’d be able to, yet for some reason, I’ve let my ortho’s words dictate my choices, my attitude, and my effort. F* anyone who tells you you can’t… #believeinthewing
