They won’t always understand

Your priorities are changing

You’re going to bed early, even on weekends

You’re a lame because you say no to going out

You’re laughed at for bringing home cooked meals to the function

You’re “boring”

And unless you’ve told them the end goal, honestly, it’s not meant for them to understand

When it’s time for you to deliver, you will be ready and all of your work in the trenches, day in & day out, will show itself in your accomplishments

And guess what, they will be the same people congratulating you on those wins

Don’t shame yourself for changing direction

Don’t shame yourself for having “fear of missing out”

Don’t shame yourself for feeling like an outsider

Because you 100% deserve the life that you’re cultivating for yourself on the other side of these trenches
