Port Baseball had a successful week as they finished 2-2. The Vikings picked up their first conference win against Syosset and also won their Coaches vs Cancer game against Mineola!

In game 1, Parker Workman got the ball for port and he faced off against Alex Larson vs Syosset. Port got off to a hot start with a Chris Carillo single that scored Dylan Epstein. Workman lasted 3.1 Innings giving up 3ER, then Dustin Noto came in the game giving up 0ER in 2.2 Innings. The Vikings dropped the game 4-3.

Game 2 was nothing short of a pitchers duel as Michael Andrew battled Jackson Bullaro at home. The former teammates were spot on as neither team scored until the 6th inning. The Vikings struck first on a suicide squeeze by Anthony Iuorio. They proceeded to score 2 more runs in the 6th. Michael Andrew threw a complete game for Port giving up 0ER while Striking out 10 and only giving up 2 hits in the process. Port won 3-1! Look at the second slide for Andrew’s postgame interview!

Game 3 of the series was a very offensive game as the Vikings got to Syosset pitcher Jacob Lee early on a steal home by Dylan Epstein. The two teams went back and forth until the Braves pulled ahead in the 4th and kept the lead. Port lost the game 9-4.

In the final game of the week, Port faced Mineola for their Coaches vs Cancer fundraiser! In a very offensive game, Jasper Abrahams hit an RBI triple that scored Danny Alexander. The ball might’ve traveled 360ft in the air before rolling about 100ft more to the center field fence. The Vikings won 8-5!
