Over the past two weeks, the Boy’s Lacrosse team went 3-2, with wins over Oceanside, Herricks, and East Meadow, as well as losses to Long Beach and Carey.

In an 11-8 loss to Long Beach, the boys struggled to find their footing early. Junior Henry Haberman (henry_haberman3 ) scored 5 goals with 1 assist, senior Jensen Weingard (jensenweingard11 ) scored twice along with junior Gavin Jacobsen’s (gavin_jacobsen ) one. Senior goalie Patrick Kenny (patricktkenny ) also notched 11 saves.

The team convincingly bounced back in a 15-7 win against Oceanside. The boys came out firing on all cylinders. Sophomore John McCarthy (johnmccarthy13 ) and Jensen Weingard both scored hat tricks. Senior Jared Morales (jared_morales ), Jacobsen and Haberman notched 2 goals each. Senior Jake Schorr (jakeschorr ) and juniors Sean Cassidy (seancassidyy ) and Andy Feinstein (andy.feinstein1 ) all scored once. Sophomore Luke Meyer (lmeyer_2 ) had 3 assists along with Pat Kenny’s 7 saves.

The boys took care of business 18-1 against Herricks. The day was highlighted by seniors Matt Morales (mattmorales17 ) scoring 4 goals and 3 assists, Tommy Mascia (_tommy.mascia ) having 2 goals, and most importantly Max Bogensburger (maxjbogi ) scoring twice!

The team beat East Meadow on their senior day by a score of 14-5. Haberman notched 5 goals and 3 assists, Meyer scored 4 times along with the Morales brothers scoring once with one assist. Schorr and Weingard also scored one each with Kenny having 9 saves.

The boys lost a hard fought game in the rain on Saturday to Carey by a score of 8-5. Weingard notched 2 goals, Haberman and Meyer both scored once with one assist, along with Jared Morales having one goal. Kenny had 5 saves.

The boys look to gain as much momentum as possible in their next matchups:
