Next up on our Senior Spotlight is Hamilton College baseball commit, Jackson Sattinger (jsattinger21)!

Sattinger has been a familiar face for the Vikings, as he was called up around mid-way through is freshman year! From the start, Sattinger made an impact. He pitched in multiple important games as early as a freshman.

In his sophomore year, Sattinger unfortunately suffered an injury that put the majority of his season in jeopardy. However, he was poised to make a massive impact as a junior, and he exceeded expectations in Port's 2019 season.

Sattinger was the tone-setter of the Vikings lineup last year. He was the lead off hitter, and consistently got on base and was also extremely fast on the base path. He has the ability to hit to all fields, and a great knack for knowing the Vikings home-field right field fence.

One of Sattinger's signature moments was a lead-off homer in the third game of the County Semi-Final. Sattinger was also able to play multiple outfield positions, and was a consistent defender all year long. Towards the end of the season, he cracked the starting pitching rotation and did not let up a single run through the entirety of the regular season.

Last season, Sattinger ended the year as one of the top performers in the county. He earned All-Conference honors too! Sattinger hit .328 at the top of the order, hit 3 home runs, drove in 12, and also scored 19 times himself. On the mound, he pitched to a perfect 0.00 ERA, went 1-0, and pitched to a WHIP of .673. Sattinger's stellar 2019 campaign put him in position to commit to play college ball, which he did this past summer.

Next year, Sattinger will take his talents upstate to Hamilton College and play for the Continentals at the D-III level. Congratulations on an incredible high school career, and best of luck at the next level!
