🌟 #BlackHistoryMonth Spotlight: The one and only JENNIFER KING!

In 2021, the Washington Commanders hired Jennifer King as an assistant coach, making her the first African American woman in NFL history ever to be a full-time assistant coach. However, this #BlackHistoryMonth, King is making history once again!

As of this week, King is now the first woman assistant coach for the Chicago Bears, the first in the 104-year history of the team. 

King was first hired by the Carolina Panthers back in 2018 as a coaching intern, and in 2021 became the first Black woman to be named a full-time NFL coach when she was promoted by the Commanders to be their assistant running backs coach. She's served in that role in Washington the past three seasons before her newly appointed status with the Bears. 

King also played in the Women's Football Alliance (WFA) as a quarterback and receiver for the Carolina Phoenix from 2006 to 2017, a defensive back and receiver for the New York Sharks in 2018 and a safety for the D.C. Divas in 2019.
