In an initiative to celebrate #BlackHistoryMonth and the accomplishments of some extraordinary African American women, throughout the month we will highlight a few pioneers (AND not just in lacrosse!) who have made an impact that will forever be etched in the history of women's sports. 

🌟 Today, we salute usalacrosse Senior Vice President and CFO, Cara Morris!!

Serving as the FIRST African American female in USA Lacrosse Administration, Sr. VP and CFO Cara Morris has been an extremely inspiring and a driving force in the non-profit sector. For over 23 years she has served in a leadership role with responsibilities for Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology, Facilities, Operations, Insurance Risk Management, and Legal, helping the organization grow from a 4 million NPO with 80,000 members to 22 million NPO with over 400,000 members. Morris’s educational background includes a BSBA in Business Administration from Boston University and an MBA with a concentration in Accountancy from Western New England University. 

Morris's career began in manufacturing and retail but her discovery of a passion to work in the non-profit sphere eventually led to her becoming a Standards for Excellence Licensed Consultant in 2020 and reaching new heights within the USA Lacrosse organization.
