In the fall/winter 2017 edition of the Miamian, MUDEC alumni shared memories of studying abroad. In honor of the 50th anniversary celebration this week, we are sharing a couple of those stories. Swipe left for more. 
1. “One memory that stands out is a weekend in Munich. Specifically, the evening of March 27, 1999. (I know this from the timestamp on the photos – not a stellar memory!) I recall we had some fun at various beer halls and missed the last train back out to our hostel. We probably missed the train taking so much time perfecting our human pyramid.” - Tony Alexander ’99

2. "My story begins with a trip to London with Mike Dobrin ’78, Dave Rosenberg ’77 and Steve Teasel ’76, M.A. ’78. We went to Buckingham Palace to watch the changing of the guard and were becoming impatient since nothing was happening.We struck up a conversation with a London lady who suggested we go talk to the bobbie in a guardhouse off to the side ...The bobbie sent us two at a time into a side door of the palace where we signed the queen’s guest book … There was speculation about who those celebrities were going into the palace, and the bobbie told them we were 'going to affix our signatures to a very important document in the palace.' I had my 15 seconds of fame courtesy of the MUEC." - Jeff Eberhard ’78
