leaving Singapore end of last year was one of the hardest things i’ve had to do. when the plane took off, i immediately started crying. migrating from the country you’re born and raised in isn’t easy. you leave behind your friends and whole life. it sucks to know that i probably won’t be there for many important events, first one being that i’m missing one of my besties 21st birthday next week. 😢 i have been back to Singapore three times this year and was last there in May for three weeks to visit my friends, and now ex-boyfriend, before coming over to England, and i am grateful that i could last visit 3 months ago. 
i’m forever grateful for all the experiences and memories i have from Singapore, all the amazing friends and people i’ve met (that i miss everyday so terribly), the culture, and of course THE FOOD. 🤤 we complain a lot, but once you leave, we realise how wonderful Singapore really is. the people who know me know that i love the song HOME, and that i am the most patriotic person on National Day, so i’ll listen to that song in sadness today. 😂

i am slowly adapting to life in England, and i’m grateful to have met and be friends with so many lovely people at work who help me adapt to life here (had my first night out on Saturday you guys 😅). you guys know who you are, and i’m so appreciative for y’all. 😘

i’ve begun a new chapter in my life, but Singapore you’ll always hold a very very special place in my heart. happy 53rd birthday. 🇸🇬❤️ #NDP2018 #MajulahSingapura #SomeoneSendMeHokkienMeePlease (picture isn’t mine btw, can’t find who it belongs to, but i take no credit. 🤗)
