#WalkingTipWednesday is all about increasing #proprioception of the #feet to help with your gait pattern.  mariskabreland and megkoppeleduffy both like to start each session by rolling out the feet and completing exercises.  The tough part is to keep this connection throughout the entire workout, so one of our tricks is to use a proprioceptive mat!  Oh and a cute doggie also helps!! #puppiesandpilates

In this video our client is using the the  naboso_barefoot_technology Mat to help with his foot to gluteal connection. At the #NeuroRehabMovement we don't push products but considering both Mariska and Meghann use the mat, we had to share.  Mariska has even cut up one of her mats to use on her reformer foot bar and jump board for footwork and Meghann uses the mat everyday during standing work with neuro and non-neuro clients with great results. 
Note: The client in the video is a former football player and although he doesn't have any current neuro symptoms the micro head traumas have left him with a stiff neck, a cranky lower back pain and a great deal of joint pain.  His goals are: 1) To postpone a total knee replacement, 2)  Increase his spinal mobility and stability, & 3) Work on post-concussion symptoms.
