It's a busy day for the waka hōiho/horse ambulance in Canterbury with rērehi hōiho/horse racing at Riccarton Park Racecourse and a whakataetae hōiho/equestrian event at McLeans Island run by Eventing Canterbury.

We're also on track at Hastings for the first Group 1 of the season hosted by Hawkes Bay Racing. 

#FunFact Hōiho is the word for horse in #reoMaori. If you forget the macron over the 'o', you're talking about a yellow-eyed penguin! 🐧
