Allow me to reintroduce myself 🎤

Lots of new faces around here and lots of life changes for me so wanted to say 👋🏼

I’m KK and the little dude is my toddler Teddy.

I believe being a mom comes first and while that is a controversial opinion these days, I stand by it.

Before becoming a mama I was a TV personality. I have worked mostly in Phoenix (but hi to my Dayton and San Diego friends) doing everything in a newsroom. I have anchored news, weather, sports, traffic and entertainment. I have reported, I can run a camera, I produce and I edit video. If it needs to happen, I can *make it* happen.

My big dream was to be a sports host in my native Phoenix. I did it y’all. I got to launch and host Cardinals Locker Room on NBC, I have been a host for your Coyotes forever 😂 & I got a surprise hosting a Phoenix Rising show a couple years ago that led me to loving ⚽️

But when I was 19 I was an actor and I auditioned for a spokesperson role. The casting director said I was too young for it at the time. She told me when I was in my thirties that I should pursue being a spokesperson because I had what it takes. I always knew if I became a mama, that was gonna be my plan & now it’s my reality. None of us knew then that digital content would also be an outlet for hosting but it has become a perfect career for me. 🙏🏼

Interestingly enough- it wasn’t being on local news that brought most of you here, it has been the outdoors. I launched my blog herewithher.com in 2017. I never camped until I was 28 years old but nature changed my life. I live with #interstitialcystitis and it’s managed now but when I was lost and scared I turned to the outdoors to help me get my life back. That’s why I’m so passionate about getting you outside!

Even now, I am a single mom and co-parenting is tough so I turn to the outdoors for comfort… like starting snowboarding at 33 because I needed something to keep me in the moment on the days Teddy isn’t with mama 💔

I truly appreciate you being here… for giving me and Teddy so much love through a really hard year in 2021 and for continuing to support me during bold career moves.

You are the reason my dreams have come true. 🤍
