1 year down with Type 1 Diabetes, forever to go 💙💉

~I don’t ever make posts like this, but i feel like this is deserving of one. This disease hasn’t been easy between all of the mental and physical obstacles everyday, but it’s been so rewarding and life changing in all aspects. It’s answered so many questions that i’ve had about myself and my health over the years like why can’t i gain weight and why am i losing so much weight, why do i always feel like something’s wrong, why do i feel sick and tired 24/7, and so many other questions about symptoms i was having. I’ve never put this out there because i was embarrassed for awhile, but now i’m just proud. I can’t help but feel grateful when i see where i started (the last pic) to now. It’s been such a hard year, but i’ve also never felt better. 

~A lot of people aren’t educated on this disease and it’s always mistaken to be the same as Type 2 Diabetes or made out to be not a big deal. There’s so much more to this than people think, so I just hope to raise awareness for Type 1 Diabetes and for all the people who go through these same fights 💙
