## Caption

The underdevelopment of stick skills and situational aggressiveness has given skill players too much time and space, particularly on in tight plays and breakaways. I understand the need/urge to hold the short side on plays such as this goal, however, a player should NEVER be able to stick handle through your crease without being disrupted. Points to consider:
• Player is on their backhand
• Cuts close and deep 

With the player attacking at this depth, if Shephard pokes or even shifts up, instead of flat, considering the back pressure, he easily jams this opportunity. Goalies, again, breaking up/preventing opportunities is just as important as saves. Take away time and space and protect the paint!!!
