420 miles later, our team of Challenged Athletes Foundation and Mission43 athletes returned to Boise. Congrats to all participants for taking on this incredible challenge and to Lucas Onan for accomplishing the feat of being the first athlete with a permanent physical disability to finish in the history of the race!⁣

"After more than 420 miles of steep climbs, deep single-track, smoke-filled air, fallen trees and plenty of wildlife encounters, Lucas Onan, Mark Andrews and Anthony Skeesick crossed the finish line on Sunday night to complete Idaho’s iconic Smoke ’n Fire race. Lucas is the first athlete with permanent physical disabilities to finish in the history of the race.⁣
⁣
When more than 1/3 of all riders are unable to complete the course, it’s apparent that this ride is far from a boardwalk beach cruise. Thanks to our partners at Mission43, GoPro, Toyota USA, Össur, Ride 100%, and Strava, all of our athletes, including Willie Stewart, Mohamed Lahna and Andre Kajlich, were equipped with the tools and support needed for their epic journey.⁣
