Consisting of primarily tactical air control party Airmen, the 17th STS’s primary mission is to provide Air Force Special Operations Command’s Special Tactics TACPs to the 75th Ranger Regiment, pairing the Department of Defense’s most lethal joint terminal attack controllers with one of the most premiere direct-action raid forces.
