Today, Chief Master Sgt. Chris Grove, a #SpecialTactics combat controller, was awarded the #SilverStarMedal. 
While deployed to Afghanistan in 2007, in support of Operation ENDURING FREEDOM, Grove exposed himself to danger and secured the safety of his joint and partner force members by controlling #PrecisionStrike airpower from F-15s as close as 100 meters of his team's position.
