Join us every Friday of #HispanicHeritageMonth as we highlight some powerful Latina Girl Scouts doing amazing things in their community! 💚 First up we have Girl Scout Olivia! "Olivia’s Gold Award project, Visual Dictionaries in American Sign Language and Spanish,  made an impact on her community by providing assistance to families of Deaf and Hard of Hearing students at Pennekamp Elementary School. She made a 70-page dictionary in English and Spanish with American Sign Language signs providing both print and digital copies for at home and classroom use. “When I delivered the visual dictionaries to the Pennekamp students, they were so excited and interested in the dictionaries. They immediately started flipping through the pages and practiced their signs, which made me feel so happy and accomplished to see the students so engaged in the visual dictionaries. I also received feedback from the parents who were using the electronic version of the visual dictionary at home, and they all loved it and found it very useful for them and their children.” Awesome job, Girl Scout! 💪✨ #YoSoyUnaGirlScout #MesdelaHerenciaHispana  Via: girlscoutsla
