Today is #NationalBabeRuthDay! Take the opportunity to learn more about the life of the iconic Marylander and one of the most celebrated athletes of his time, George Herman "Babe" Ruth Jr.

Ruth began his career with the minor-league Baltimore Orioles before being sold to the Boston Red Sox. He played 22 seasons before retiring with the Boston Braves. In 1947, the baseball commissioner declared Babe Ruth Day to honor him and his legacy as a baseball player. 

Yesterday, our staff took a field trip to Camden Yards to commemorate this Maryland legacy. Check out these photos of the team at the ballpark!
