In honor of Black History Month, we invite students, teachers, and history lovers of all ages to explore our Historical Investigations Portal. This FREE digital curriculum contains several lessons that address African American history, as well as the contributions of U.S. Presidents. 

These lessons include: 
The Underground Railroad: Resisting Slavery in Maryland​​​​​​
Civil War Maryland: Martial Law in Baltimore
Free African American Experience in Maryland

Click on "Educational Resources" in our bio to access.

Lessons are applicable to 4th-12th grade standards. Educators in select Maryland counties have integrated access through their Learning Management Systems. Contact your social studies supervisor, or MCHC Digital Learning Coordinator, Tyler Osborne (tosborne@mdhistory.org) for more information.
