## Caption

#OnThisDay in 1922, snow started falling in Maryland and didn't stop for two days. The nor-easter, also known as the "Knickerbocker" storm, brought record snowfall to the Baltimore region, with areas seeing up to 24 inches of snow in 24 hours.

In this street scene, shoppers wait for a trolley at Howard and Lexington streets in Baltimore during the blizzard.
